Describe what will happen during the experience
The farm covers 14 acres of countryside and is home to farm animals which are used in a range of therapy programmes. It has dogs, sheep, goats, chickens, pigs, donkeys, alpacas, rabbits and guinea pigs. All of which play their part in enabling you to achieve your goals.
Dedham Therapy Farm sessions will be lead by either an occupational therapist or an occupational therapy assistant. Once you have had your initial assessment you will be offered one to one or group therapy sessions. Activities will be planned to help you reach your goals.
Sessions are offered in blocks of 6 or 7 weeks in line with our annual timetable. Your therapy will be reviewed every 6 weeks.
We personalise every plan for the specific needs of the person. Whether it's help with communication, social cues, sensory skills, self-confidence, stress relief, empathy, teamwork or you just want to learn a new skill, we have the expertise to help you.
