Balikbayan is the Filipino term for homecoming. It is often understood as a large box filled with goods and gifts one takes with them when they return to the Philippines. This balikbayan box has become a symbol of how our love and care for community extends across seas, and that despite the distance we still think of home and those we are separated from.
